The Re-Store Warehouse isn’t a thrift store or a typical home-improvement outlet. We are a nonprofit built by this community, for this community. It is a place where a donated cabinet can become an affordable kitchen for one family, while also funding a meal or a safe bed for another. This is how we got here, and exactly how it works.
The Re-Store Warehouse started back in 1999 as a joint effort between Fayetteville Urban Ministry and Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity. The idea was simple: take the home goods our community no longer needs and use them to help neighbors who need it most. We run our operations out of a 60,000-square-foot warehouse, which we have thanks to the generosity of Eleanor Manning and her late husband, Raymond. Their donation, managed through the Cumberland Community Foundation Real Estate Foundation, gives us the space we need to do this work.
We have over 60,000 square feet of new and used kitchen cabinets, furniture, appliances, flooring, lighting, and renovation supplies. By selling quality home goods to the public at great prices, we help people outfit their homes with dignity, even if they couldn’t otherwise afford things like bath fixtures, door hardware, or solid furniture. Plus, we keep tons of usable material out of the landfill while we are at it.
Every donation and every purchase keeps that loop turning
Neighbors and builders donate new and gently used items. We even offer a free pickup service to help you clear out clutter, storage units, or clean up active construction sites effortlessly.
We organize and sell these items affordably to the public. This includes premium modular and solid wood kitchens, meticulously planned and rendered in 3D for far less than standard box showroom prices.
Of our net profits are funneled directly into incredible local Cumberland County programs. Every transaction feeds families, shelters the displaced, and funds vital programs protecting local at-risk kids.
